Han (Alex) Nguyen was awarded a New Zealand Society of Plant Biologists Student Excellence Award for her fantastic work during her Honours project at the University of Auckland. Alex performed a significant amount of high-quality research leading to the publication “Two genes, ANS and UFGT2, from Vaccinium spp. are key steps for modulating anthocyanin production” in Frontiers in Plant Science. Alex presented her research at Plant Science Central held at Massey University July 4-6 where she received her award from Samarth from the New Zealand Society of Plant Biologists.
