Save the dates! This year the NZSPB will trial a different format for our annual conference – a hub-based conference, with sites in Auckland, Palmerston North and Christchurch/Lincoln that will connect together via video conferencing. This will be held in conjunction with the Australian Society of Plant Scientists with a shared session, providing an opportunity to increase connection between our societies.  This conference format balances the cost pressures many are facing that could prevent conference participation, while still providing some of the benefits of an in-person conference. The hub format means we will not be accepting poster presentations for this meeting, but we will have student flash talks (3 mins) at each hub.  Full oral presentations will be streamed across the hubs.  We’ve worked hard to keep costs down, so don’t delay – prepare those abstracts and register today!

  • Abstract submission for full talks due 27th September. We invite abstracts from all areas of plant biology – Plant physiology, biotechnology, ecology, molecular genetics and more! This is an excellent opportunity for students and early career researchers (ERCs) to showcase their work. Please email your abstracts to [email protected] using the template attached to this email.
  • Registration is due 1st November. The link to the Registration page is here. Any issues, contact [email protected]
