People with primary care responsibilities face additional barriers to attend and participate in conferences/workshops, which exacerbates existing equity problems and career development opportunities.

To reduce the barriers, the NZSPB is offering up to 2 equity bursaries of up to $500 (annually) to help members with primary care responsibilities to attend and participate in conferences/workshops.

These bursaries can be used to contribute towards the additional costs incurred to put appropriate care in place. For example, this may include helping with travel costs of a family member to assist with care arrangements, child care services or respite care. Each situation is different, and the intention is to support families and whānau to find the right solution for them.
