In support of our goal of promoting teaching and research in plant biology, the Society allocates a number of contestable financial awards to eligible members. These include:

• Student travel awards to students travelling to national and international plant science meetings
• Prizes for the best student presentations at our annual conferences
• The Michael McManus Award for published original research by student members
• Career development awards for members with technical roles in our plant science community
• Equity bursaries for members attending meetings who have additional costs because of primary care responsibilities
• The annual Roger Slack Award for outstanding contributions to plant biology.
